Regarding ACTF...

This is just a note to all of my wonderful theatre friends back in the tri-cities. Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to make it to ACTF this year. This is no choice of mine. Why, you ask? Well, as many of you know, I am currently attending Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. Due to my sophomore standing and other factors concerning my experience and skill level, I was given the position of Master Electrician for the Spring production of Swan Lake here at Cornish. It was only an hour ago that I figured out that the week of ACTF also happens to be my Tech Week. Also, there is a 95% chance I will not be entering my design for Metamorphoses in the competition this year due to the fact that in order to compete, I must register for the festival (at the cost of $52) and it makes very little sense for me (in my current state of extremely limited fundage) to pay that much for a festival I will be unable to attend/benefit from.

So yeah. You can imagine my disappointment when I learned all this seeing as how I have been looking forward to this year's festival pretty much since Ashland turned out to be a huge dud for me. At any rate, I hope all of you have fun and I hope I can find some way to see you all sometime in the not-too-distant future. Please pass this along to anyone you think might care. Thank you...Sara
